Mitch Garrett is a court room lawyer. Mitch’s experience working in one of the fastest and busiest courts in the nation makes him an efficient and effective advocate for the Firm’s clients.
Before joining Ryan Law Partners LLP, Mitch worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Amos L. Mazzant in the Eastern District of Texas. As a clerk, Mitch was entrenched in trial practice from day one. Mitch’s work covered everything from writing opinions addressing grand jury subpoenas to crafting jury instructions for a civil trial about the relationship between a bank and a youth soccer team. After each trial, Mitch spoke with jurors about what led them to their verdict. Because of this experience, Mitch views cases with the scrutiny of a judge or a jury.
Mitch received his J.D., cum laude, in 2016 from Baylor University School of Law. While at Baylor, Mitch served as Senior Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review, was a member of the Order of Barristers, and participated in several advocacy competitions. In college at Saint Louis University, Mitch was inducted into the Student Leader Hall of Fame for his outstanding scholarship, leadership, and service to the university.
