RJ Giglio is an attorney with a wide array of experience including years of commercial litigation.

RJ grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, on the same street as Andy Ryan.  He attended the University of Oklahoma for undergrad, where he won the Cross-Examination Debate Association national championship three times and was awarded top speaker at the 2011 Harvard Invitational.  He then attended Tulane University for law school where he served on law review and graduated in the top 3% of his class.  RJ then litigated in toxic tort and medical malpractice litigation until he first joined Ryan Law Partners in December of 2016.

During his time at RLP, RJ and Andy defended a large centrifuge manufacturer in a two-week trial, where they won a unanimous verdict in favor of their client.  RJ also drafted several successful briefs in federal and state courts across the country. RJ is most proud of litigating a commercial real estate dispute where the opposing party alleged RLP’s client owed them $44 million.  There, RLP won summary judgment and had all claims dismissed against our client.

In late 2019, RJ left RLP to work in the federal court system where he reviewed federal cases and drafted memoranda and judicial opinions explaining his recommendation for how the court should rule.  In that time, RJ worked on issues across the board, including constitutional issues, criminal cases, commercial disputes, government litigation, and state law issues.  He ended up drafting close to 100 memoranda and judicial opinions for several different federal judges.  This included roughly 25 opinions put out by the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, which governs all federal courts in Texas.  RJ has now returned to RLP with a wealth of fresh knowledge and skill for legal research, writing, and oral argument.
